Four men from Brighton and Hove have been arrested as part of the annual Christmas drink drive crackdown, Sussex Police said.

Maciej Sydor, 33, was arrested at 10.30pm last Friday (12 December) in Old Steine, Brighton. Officers stopped his car because they believed that it was not covered by insurance.

Sydor, of Sillwood Street, Brighton, was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without a licence. He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 February.

Danny Curtis, 36, was arrested at 12.50am on Saturday (13 December) after officers stopped his vehicle in East Street, Brighton.

Curtis, of Tilbury Way, Brighton, was charged with drink driving. He was also released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 February.

Lukasz Fielek, 28, was arrested at 2.30am on Saturday (13 December) after officers saw his car swerve by The Level, Brighton.

Fielek, of Old Shoreham Road, Hove, was charged with drink driving and driving without a licence. He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 February.

Aftam Miah, 30, was arrested at 8.30am on Sunday (14 December) after officers stopped his car on the A259 in Portslade.

Miah, of Findon Close, in Hangleton, was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 31 December.
