A six-year-old boy from Peacehaven suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car.
The boy was on foot when the accident happened in Arundel Road, near the corner of Hoddern Avenue, at about 4pm on Friday (15 March).
Sussex Police said: “The child was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
“The driver was not arrested.”
Why is this article worded the way it is?
Surely a better way to phrase this would be that a driver has hit a 6 year old child with their car..?
Or a six-year old ran out in front of a car ? Must be pretty cut and dried as the police are not asking for witnesses or arrested the driver.
He didn’t run out into the road, there was traffic as they tried to cross and unfortunately the driver didn’t see him and he was lucky enough to be pulled back by his Nan so he luckily only got a broken leg and nothing else, the driver wasn’t at fualt and neither was he, it was just a freak accident, the driver and passenger also stopped and called the ambulance and cooperated with the police, it was just a accident.
