One man has appeared in court after an affray with knives and weapons that is understood to have involved about five people.
Another has been arrested and bailed and police have published a picture of another suspect who appears to have a baseball bat as they issued an appeal for the public’s help to identify him.
Sussex Police said: “Did you witness a group of men fighting with knives and weapons in Whitehawk on Wednesday 18 March?
“Around five men were reportedly involved in the incident, which happened just after 6pm near to Swanborough Place.
“It was then reported that some of those involved fled the scene by car, while others left on foot.

“He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court the following day, charged with affray and possessing a knife in a public place.
“He was then conditionally bailed ahead of his next hearing on Friday 17 April at Lewes Crown Court.
“As the investigation progressed, a second man, also 21 and from Brighton, was arrested on Thursday 26 March on suspicion of affray, possession of a weapon in a public place, possession of a class B drug and assaulting an emergency worker.
“He has since been bailed with conditions pending further inquiries.
“We would like to speak to the man seen in the images as our investigation continues.
