A group of men left a Brighton woman with serious facial injuries including a broken jaw when they attacked her at the weekend.
Sussex Police said: “A woman suffered a broken jaw after she was assaulted in Little East Street, Brighton, early on Saturday (17 December).
“Police believe the 24-year-old victim was attacked by a group of three or four black men at about 6am.
“The woman remembers walking into Little East Street and then waking up in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.”
Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “This was an vicious unprovoked attack and the motive is unclear.
“The victim has suffered serious facial injuries including two fractures to her jaw and she has undergone surgery to remove two damaged teeth.
“We need to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault or has any information. Please get in touch.”
