Hove dogs look set to swap Sunday lunchtime for Tuesday afternoons
Hove Greyhound Stadium look likely to take over the Tuesday BAGS (Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service) slot from January and no longer race on Sunday lunchtimes.
The track which celebrates its 90th year in 2018, will still also stage a Thursday evening BAGS card from 6:28 – 9:22 and its flagship Saturday evening race card from 7:30 – 10:30.
The Nevill Road Stadium are likey to race Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2:11-6:18, as the country’s leading bookmakers are thought to prefer the competitive nature of Hove races.
BAGS meetings are beamed live to every bookmakers in the country by broadcaster SIS and are an important source of income for Greyhound tracks.
