The end of the Albion Groyne next to the Palace Pier has collapsed into the sea.
The groyne has been cordoned off but members of the public have been spotted standing at the end.
Huge piles of shingle have also swept over the upper half of the walkway.
Last night, high tides coincided with strong winds – a combination which is forecast to happen again tonight.
