‘Hymns for Robots’ – now that sounds interesting…..

Hymns for Robots – The mother of modern music explodes onto the Brighton Fringe!

Noctium Theatre brings the fascinating story of the hero behind The Doctor Who theme tune to the Rialto Theatre this May.

In a small attic, packed in hundreds of cereal boxes, lies the life’s work of Delia Derbyshire – the unsung genius behind the Doctor Who theme tune and trailblazer of electronic music. Using strange sounds and weird wobbulations, Noctium brings you a sonic experience your ears won’t believe.

Hymns for Robots mixes Noctium’s unique heightened performance style with analogue and digital music to bring you an extraordinary life that was almost forgotten. Featuring creative captioning and visual sound, this performance is inclusive for d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences.

Noctium are a Coventry based theatre company that delights in the alien and abstract. Hymns for Robots gets its first outing of 2018 at Rialto Theatre this May before heading off to the Edinburgh Fringe later this summer.

Whether you’re a wholehearted Whovian or don’t know your Dalek from your garlic, with tickets starting from just £5, you’d be mad to miss this spectacular musical odyssey.
