A fire at a five-storey terraced building in Compton Avenue, Brighton, has been investigated and the cause found to be accidental.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that crews were sent to reports of a fire in the building at the Seven Dials just before 5.15pm yesterday (Friday 22 August).
The fire service said: “Four appliances were sent to the scene.
“Firefighters and officers from Hove, Preston Circus and Lewes attended the incident as did police and ambulance crews.
“Firefighters using breathing apparatus, searched the building and tackled the fire using main jets and firefighting foam.
“Everyone was accounted for and there are no reports of injury.”
