A mobile hairdresser from Hove has been charged with drink driving after she crashed her brightly coloured Volkswagen Beetle.
Gabrielle Brayne, 21, of Vallance Road, Hove, was arrested at 9.25pm on Tuesday 30 June after the crash in King’s Crescent, Shoreham.
Sussex Police said that Brayne was charged with drink driving and released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 16 July.
The force said that, so far, a total of 94 people had been charged with offences during Sussex Police’s annual month-long drink and drug driving operation in June.
It added that as part of the crackdown, known as Operation Dragonfly, traffic officers were on dedicated patrols looking for offenders.
And the force had been responding to tip-offs from members of the public who had seen someone who they knew had been drinking getting into a car to drive.
