More than 150 assaults on emergency workers in Sussex

A man was found unconscious and with serious injuries in a small park just off London Road, Brighton, police said.

Sussex Police has issued an appeal for the public’s help, asking for information and any security camera footage.

The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his forties was found with serious injuries in a Brighton park.

“Emergency services were called at around 2.20pm on Thursday (7 March) to a report of an unconscious man in the green space known as Fish Park, next to Ann Street.

“The man was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.

“He has since been discharged.

“If you witnessed what happened, have information that could assist the investigation or have CCTV covering the Fish Park area, we urge you to make a report.

“You can contact us by using our online reporting form or by calling 101, quoting reference 666 of 7/3.”

The reason the police need to appeal for information is that they know nothing. They know nothing because they are absent. They do not patrol. They do not speak to people. People do not offer them information. When something happens the very last people to arrive are the police. They know nobody. Nobody helps them. They are outsiders, intruders, people with no contacts and no context. This is why they fail themselves and us.

I have been attacked in the same place. I called 999 as it happened. Response? A crime number. Zero assistance. Sussex Police you are useless.

Ann Street where they installed a police hut a few weeks ago to prevent crime. Good location

Not exactly related however, the police are actually useless 🙁 took them 35 mins to attend a domestic on St james street last week at 10am! They are never patrolling anymore and wonder why we have so much crime going on all the time 🙁 non of use trust them, my 11 year old is even starting to question what their purpose is?

Verbal arguments are hardly the most important of calls to attend; 35 minutes is pretty good when you consider the stack of a usual evening. It is an opinion you may hold only because you don’t know the whole picture. A success of the police really that you don’t know the kind of things that they have to deal with. Because as critical as you want to be, you’d be the first to call them should you feel you need them.

It says 10am, which isn’t the evening.

The police are pretty rubbish here tbh. In my last area the response was much quicker and more efficient, more professional. Here the attitude is uncaring and they seem annoyed to be called

It’s been well established that the police use their limited resources and manpower to pursue other lines of enquiry…. like getting their colleagues totally drunk and booking them into hotels so they can have sex with them… or get women drunk in a seafront nightclub and rape them in the sea by saying their ugly, pink prick entered the woman’s anus by mistake in the darkness.

A drug related crime, the police don’t see things or choose not to. Worrying times people.

The police just disappoint instead of reassure.
    Rarely see them.
