A woman is reported to have robbed a man as he used a cash machine outside a shop in Kemp Town.
Sussex Police said: “Did you witness a robbery in St James’s Street, Brighton, on Monday 27 October just before 11pm?
“Police were called to a report that a woman had approached a man and asked him for money while he was at the cash machine outside Co-op.
“She was then reported to have assaulted the man and stolen his bank card before fleeing the area.
“The woman is described as black, around 25 years old and wearing a long white jacket or cardigan, with a light-coloured top underneath, and carrying a handbag.
“CCTV and witness inquiries are under way and police are also appealing to the public for any further information.
“If you were in the area at the time of the incident and saw what happened or may have relevant footage, we ask you make a report.
“You can do this online or by calling 101, quoting reference 1461 of 27/10.”

Just another day in kemp town.
As a local, you either use that cashpoint, or the one outside Sainsburys that always has a beggar sat next to it. I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone that this area is going downhill fast. I’ve lived here 10+ years and it is shocking to see how much it has changed for the worse.
Use the machine inside entrance morrisons. Safer
